Our work is guided by restraint and by knowing what to leave out as much as what to include. We focus on proportion, materiality, and architectural clarity to create homes that feel calm, grounded, and deeply livable.
While our portfolio spans a range of styles, a clear through line connects every project: warmth, consistency, and thoughtful design. We don’t repeat a look or follow a formula. Instead, we listen closely and respond to each home individually creating spaces that feel personal, cohesive, and enduring.
We work collaboratively with clients, architects, and builders to bring clarity and alignment to each phase of the project. From early planning through final installation, our role is to guide decisions thoughtfully ensuring every element contributes to a cohesive whole.

ABOUT MELISSA
Melissa Holt is the founder and principal designer of Holt Design House.
Known for her calm, organized approach and strong design perspective, she leads each project with a focus on clarity, collaboration, and thoughtful execution. Her work is grounded in the belief that well-designed homes should feel both elevated and deeply livable.
Melissa is the lead point of contact for every question ranging from floorplan concepts to sourcing a specific fabric for custom pieces. Her clients deeply appreciate not only her stunning visionary eye but her keen understanding of the design meets construction industry. As a result, her high-level expertise saves her busy, professional clients time, energy and money.
On a personal level, similar to her clients, Melissa is a busy professional mom of three. On weekends you can find her sipping a dirty martini around town in the evenings and cheering on the sidelines at dance recitals and baseball games during the day.
